Rolex GMT-Master 16700
Produced from 1988 to 1999, the Rolex GMT-Master 16700 marks the end of an era, making it a historically significant timepiece. It is known as one of the last GMT-Master references with a non-independent hour hand and the ‘Pepsi’ bezel, making it a desirable vintage timepiece. The Rolex 16700 features the classic GMT-Master design in a 40mm stainless steel case, rated to be water-resistant to 100metres. It features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a dial with Mercedes hands, and a 24-hour marked aluminium insert bezel in ‘Pepsi’, ‘Coke’, or ‘all black’ combinations. The Calibre 3175 offers the simplicity of a traditional GMT where the 24-hour hand is set independently of the local hand. Featured on either a sportier Oyster or a dressier Jubilee bracelet, the GMT-Master 16700, which combines durability and modern conveniences, is a strong choice for both professionals and collectors.
