The Wimbledon Championship 2025 kicked off a week back, and while the game has been spectacular so far, it’s the watches that we’re most drawn to. Over the years, Wimbledon has become the Met Gala of the sporting world, with A-listers pulling out stylish outfits and some amazing wrist candies for the tennis tournament.
While the players on the court will likely be wearing a sports watch or a fitness tracker, there was no shortage of high-end sparkle among celebrities and the crowd. From David Beckham to Russell Crowe, everyone put the best timepieces on show.
Here they are..
1. David Beckham - Tudor Black Bay Chrono
David Beckham, a longstanding ambassador for Tudor, was spotted at Centre Court wearing a bespoke Tudor Black Bay Chrono, which featured a slightly different design from the original. Beckham’s diamond-encrusted Tudor watch was created specifically for his 50th birthday and is truly one of a kind.

The watch has a diamond-studded case, bezel and bracelet, and a minimalist ‘Reverse Panda’ black lacquer dial, stripped of numerals and minute track for a clean aesthetic. It includes diamond dot markers, snowflake hands, a small date window at 6 o’clock and the Tudor shield logo.
The most distinctive element of this timepiece is the bezel, set with two rows of round diamonds that extend to the lugs and bracelet links, creating a gleaming effect.
Beckham paired the new watch with double-breasted linen and silk-blend suit and a dark brown knitted tie, allowing the iced-out chronograph to take centre stage.
2. Russell Crowe – Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ‘Tiffany’
Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe made an unusually quiet but notable appearance at Wimbledon, not because he was seated alongside his fiancée, actor Britney Theriot, but because of what he wore on his wrist.

The Aussie actor caused quite a stir with his Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ‘Tiffany’ Ref. 126518LN - one of the most talked-about new Rolex watch releases at Watches and Wonders 2025. Upon its release, the ‘Tiffany Daytona’ has become an instant grail piece due to its unique appearance, featuring a striking turquoise lacquer dial, encased in a solid 18ct yellow gold case, and paired with a sporty Oysterflex strap. Yellow gold is seen around the bezel and on the dial's hour markers, minute and hour hands, as well as the three black sub-dial counters.
This contemporary take on the classic 1960s Daytona featuring a 40mm case and a black Cerachrom bezel is perfect for sitting out at Wimbledon. The 61-year-old Gladiator star aced the look in a tailored dark blue suit paired with a multicoloured tartan tie.
3. Eddie Redmayne – Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades
British actor, Eddie Redmayne, who was sitting right behind Beckham, was also spotted wearing an impressive timepiece that added a pop of colour to his cream suit – the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades (Ref. 220.10.38.20.13.003)

This 38mm steel model features a lacquered terracotta red dial with a sunburst centre and white accents, including the hour markers, hands, and date window. It is paired with a steel bracelet featuring beautifully rounded links.
As Omega’s brand ambassador, it’s not unusual to see Eddie Redmayne strapping a watch from the Maison. Still, it was fun to see him flaunting one of the brightest references for Wimbledon, turning heads with his refined courtside look.
4. John Cena – Rolex Explorer II
WWE legend-turned-actor John Cena was seen enjoying tennis with his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh, and drew plenty of attention in a sharp, light grey checked suit. But for horologists, it’s what was on his wrist that stood out – a Rolex Explorer II.

Measuring 42mm, the Rolex Explorer II features a white dial with dot and baton hour markers, along with a bright orange 24-hour hand. The hands are arrow-shaped and dominate the dial, giving it an oversized appearance. With its fixed 24-hour bezel, zero flashy inserts and sturdy steel construction, it’s a watch built for purpose rather than hype.
While the Explorer II isn’t one of Rolex’s headline-grabbing models like the Daytona, Submariner or GMT, Cena definitely put this overlooked Rolex on the map at Wimbledon. Cena’s choice for the occasion was subtle and suitable – respected for reliability, reputation and ruggedness.
5. Stormzy – Patek Philippe World Time Flyback Chronograph
Stormzy attended Wimbledon 2025 in a stylish yet casual ensemble with a grey logo T-shirt and trousers. However, he left no stone unturned in showcasing his impeccable taste in wristpieces, wearing the Patek Philippe World Time Flyback Chronograph 5935A-001.

This steel version of a cult model combines two of Patek’s most emblematic complications – a self-winding flyback chronograph and World Time display, indicating the 24 time zones. Measuring 41mm, the steel chronograph features a stunning opaline rose-gilt dial with a carbon-patterned centre and luminous charcoal-grey hour markers, adding a dynamic, modern touch. It comes on a grainy taupe calfskin strap.
Salmon-coloured dials are all the rage, and the British rapper just showed us why and how. The monochrome outfit puts the focus on his wrist gem, projecting confidence and character.
To End With..
From well-stitched outfits to alluring wristwear, Wimbledon 2025 proved once again that style extends far beyond the tennis whites. The top luxury watches spotted this year, whether bold, dripping in understated elegance, or classic, reflect not only personal taste but also the prestige of the event itself.
As sport and fashion continue to collide, one thing is clear: watches worn at Wimbledon are a reminder that great style is always in season.
