Complete List of Patek Philippe Watches Discontinued In 2025

By the luxury hut

Old models step aside for the new, and in the watch world, this means brands routinely retire old models to introduce new ones, updating their portfolios. There’s nothing extraordinary in that. Patek Philippe is long familiar with this concept, and nearly every year, the Geneva-based watchmaker marks a cleaning spree.

Yet, from time to time, the discontinuation of its models makes more noise than others. Remember when, in an unexpected move, Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711 was discontinued in 2021? It came as a shock! Of course, Patek released a sought-after green edition to make up for the disaster, but still, it somehow hurt fans and collectors.

Well, now we’re here today, prepared with another piece of bad news: Patek is discontinuing the Nautilus Moonphase 5712A and many other popular models this year. Let’s reveal the list, shall we?

Discontinued Patek Philippe Models 2025

1. Patek Philippe Nautilus Moonphase Ref. 5712/1A

The discontinuation of the Nautilus 5712/1A in 2025 marks the end of an era, as it has been in production for almost 20 years. This stainless steel, moonphase-equipped version of the brand’s signature steel sports watch has been a standout in the collection since its introduction in 2006. Known for its elegant yet complex design, the Ref. 5712/1A featured a 40mm case with a gradient blue dial decorated with the signature horizontal motif across its surface.

Equipped with the Calibre 240 micro-rotor movement, this Patek powered a range of complications, including a small seconds display, a moonphase display, and a power reserve indicator. The rather ‘oddly’ placed complications added a unique charm to the Nautilus 5712/1A, setting it apart from other Nautilus designs. This unusual trait made it a favourite among collectors and connoisseurs.

2. Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167/1A-001 (only stainless steel bracelet)

Another important Patek model removed from the shelf this year is the Aquanaut 5167/1A-001, but only the version on a stainless steel bracelet. The classic Aquanaut 5167A version, featuring a steel case and a rubber strap, remains in production and is listed on the brand’s official website.

discontinued aquanaut

The Patek Philippe Aquanaut is renowned for its sporty and versatile design, particularly the Ref. 5167/1A-001 that exactly mirrored that aesthetic. Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case with a black embossed dial featuring gold applied Arabic numerals and a date window at 3 o’clock, the model was powered by the self-winding Calibre 324 SC movement, offering a 45-hour power reserve. The discontinuation of this steel bracelet in the Aquanaut 5167/1A-001 may be Patek’s decision to confine the Aquanaut to a sportier look, featuring only rubber straps.

3. Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Ref. 5524G

A decade after its release, the Patek Calatrava Pilot Travel Time 5524G is now gone. First introduced in 2015, this was one of the most controversial models ever offered by Patek Philippe. In fact, it was the inaugural model of the aviation-inspired Calatrava Pilot collection. The 5524G borrowed design cues from vintage Patek hour-angle watches but was targeted towards the modern globetrotters.

The discontinued 5524G model here is the 42mm white gold version, offering a dual-time zone complication, two pushers on the left, day-night displays, and a date indicator. It was powered by the Calibre 324 SC movement, providing a 45-hour power reserve. While the white gold version has been removed, the rose gold and other variants still remain available.

4. Patek Philippe Grand Complications Split-Seconds Chronograph Ref. 5370P-011

Only 5 years old, the platinum-based Patek Philippe Grand Complications Split-Seconds chronograph 5370P-011 waves goodbye in 2025. The model was a favourite among purists for its simplicity, elegance, and extremely low production costs. Patek and the chronograph complication are a never-ending love story, and if there’s one type that rules them all, it’s the Split-Seconds. So, now its removal from the lineup has not gone down well with many.

Featuring a 41mm case, the reference 5370P-011 was a remarkable timepiece crafted from platinum with a blue dial. This was one of the most prestigious pieces in Patek’s catalogue, featuring a split-seconds chronograph and a perpetual calendar. Operating the signature complication was the Calibre CHR 29-535 PS, a manual-winding mechanism operated via two pushers. It looks great, with the blue Grand Feu enamel dial featuring white elements and the exhibition case back, offering a stunning view of the manual rattrapante movement.

5. Patek Philippe Grand Complications Ref: 5208R-001 (Minute repeater, Perpetual calendar, Chronograph)

The very definition of Grand Complication brings together the trio of a minute repeater, chronograph and perpetual calendar. And, the Patek Philippe Grand Complications Ref. 5208R-001 presents all three in a beautifully crafted rose gold construction. In terms of prestige and complexity, this was one of the most expensive and rare Patek Philippe watches, requiring a long-standing relationship with the company to acquire one.

The 5208R-001 was a fan-favourite model presented in a 42mm rose gold case with a black dial. Like all Patek Grand Complications watches, the standout feature of this model was its highly complex calibre R CH 27 PS Q movement, including several high-complication features. It incorporated over 700 parts with high-quality finishing and precision. Now discontinued, the 5208R is poised to become a blue-chip collector's piece, leaving us to wonder about its insane value on the pre-owned market.

6. Patek Philippe Iced-Out Nautilus Ref. 5719/10G-010

Introduced in 2016, the highly exclusive white gold Nautilus 5719/10G-010, set with a staggering 1,343 diamonds, is discontinued by Patek Philippe in 2025. This was a celebrity favourite model, spotted on the wrists of many famous names, including Drake, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner, Mark Wahlberg, and many others. Patek produced very few of these iced-out Nautilus models, and now that it’s been dropped from the current catalogue, they’ll be even harder to find.

This exceptional Nautilus seamlessly combined the iconic design of the Nautilus with the opulence of Haute Joaillerie, ensuring you get the best of both worlds. It’s a luxurious, diamond-studded variant crafted from 18ct white gold in a 40mm case. From the dial to the case, bezel and bracelet, everything is wrapped with sparkling diamonds, making it a highly extravagant expression of Patek’s most legendary model.

7. Patek Philippe Ladies’ Nautilus Ref. 7118/1A-010 & Ref. 7118-1200A-010

“Diamonds Are Forever” – is it? But, next up in the line are two ladies' novelties from the Nautilus collection. One is a ladies’ Nautilus in stainless steel with a blue dial and without diamonds. The second variant features a silvery opaline dial with a diamond bezel.

discontinued ladies-nautilus

The Nautilus 7118/1A-010 was a refined and feminine take on one of the world’s most recognisable luxury sports watches, featuring a blend of elegant aesthetics with the rugged appeal of the Nautilus. It was a silver-dial version on a 35mm stainless steel case. The model featured its date window at 6 o’clock instead of the usual 3 o’clock, with its hand and hour markers appearing slightly rounded.

Alongside, the reference 7118-1200A-010 was the diamond-bezel variant, housed in a 35mm stainless steel case. Just like its sibling, this Nautilus also featured a silver dial showcasing a wavy horizontal line motif. However, what made it different was the diamond-set bezel, lending a more luxurious look to this luxury sports watch design.

It’s indeed disheartening to see both the ladies' Nautilus variants stepping down the platform at once.

8. Patek Philippe Ladies Annual Calendar Ref. 4947G-010

Released in 2017 as a new version of Patek’s ladies’ Annual Calendar Ref. 4947, the Patek Philippe Ladies Annual Calendar reference 4947G-010 is now phased out in 2025. This is yet another gem-set model that Patek has removed from its lineup, while the other 4947 variants, including the full steel version, are still available.

The Annual Calendar 4947G-010 was crafted in 18ct white gold with a silver dial, reminiscent of the Shantung fabric, known for its irregular ridges. The 38mm model featured a diamond-encrusted bezel, diamond lugs, and a glittering diamond crown, paired with a blue, hand-stitched alligator leather strap, making it a true horological crowd pleaser. Powered by the calibre 324 S QA LU 24H/303, it featured an annual calendar complication that requires manual adjustment only once per year, as well as a moonphase display, making it an incredibly practical watch with both sophisticated complications and timeless appeal.

9. Patek Philippe Twenty~4 Ref. 7300/1450R-001

There’s another discontinued model from Patek’s dedicated women’s line, the Twenty~4 watch collection. The ravishing Twenty~4 Ref. 7300/1450R-001, released in 2020, is now being removed from the brand’s catalogue. It was a stunning example of Patek’s craftsmanship, designed for women who appreciate both modernity and elegance. Unlike the other diamond-set models from the Twenty~4 collection, which only have diamond-set bezels, this one is entirely covered in sparkling diamonds, making it a true high-jewellery timepiece.

Presented in a 36mm case made of 18ct rose gold, the watch featured a staggering 3,238 diamonds, covering its case, bezel, dial, bracelet links, and even the portions of its winding crown, set using the ‘snow-setting’ technique It featured a gently rounded case with integrated lugs and a diamond-set sunburst dial finish, complemented by Arabic hour markers and rose gold Dauphine hands for added functionality. This high jewellery version was a popular model among women.

Final Say..

What a ride.

While it’s not surprising for luxury watch brands to occasionally clear out their inventories, the recent discontinuations by Patek Philippe highlight the ongoing refinement of its collection.
