Guessing which models Rolex will launch in 2022 was a ritual for us. Now, the wait is finally over! Rolex has burst the bubble of anticipation with the new launches that are bold, unpredictable and certainly impressive. Rolex started the year on a high note where several owners sold Rolex models for almost double the retail price due to sheer market scarcity. And, people couldn’t help but only anticipate the new releases. It is perhaps the best time to invest in Rolex due to numerous factors, and the launch of new Rolex models will only fuel that decision.
Anyone who chooses to invest in the new charming Rolex models can easily sell Rolex watches at a much higher rate. So, what do you think Rolex has done with the new collection? Do they have the same design or similar specifications, or something completely out-of-the-box?
Well, in 2022, Rolex has taken a plunge!
Rolex has taken enough risks and went bold with green in the iconic GMT-Master II. The newest variant holds up to Rolex’s reputation of creating the most charming colour combinations. The Rolex GMT-Master II is most popular for its two-tone bezel.
The new GMT-Master II sports a fantastic combination of the green and black bezel, and it is a left-handed timepiece. The watch comes with a green GMT hand and a date display and crown at the 9 o’clock position. This is quite a speed breaker to what the brand has been creating for a very long time. Finally, there’s a watch in the catalogue dedicated to the left-handers. But why didn’t Rolex release anything for the right-handers? Guess we have to wait a little longer to figure that out.
Nevertheless, the green and black new GMT-Master II will be a highly coveted watch piece due to its unusual features. So, better keep your eyes on one already!

There’s a slight revamp of the Air-King model, but what disappointments many is the dial design that remains the same with only slight alterations. But, visually, it remains the same. The existing dial of the watch drew its inspiration from the onboard instruments of a rocket car project that no longer seems to have a future. Keeping aside the dial, the new Rolex Air-King comes with a new movement and case design that features a crown guard.
Rolex wants to play it safe with models like the Daytona and Submariner. But, the Air-King is a model where Rolex could flaunt its skill to take challenges. Overall, if you like everything minimal, the new Air-King is perfect for you.
The dial strikes the perfect balance of numerals with a 0 added before the 5-minute marker. Now, it reads as 05. Maybe collectors and watch lovers would love this slight dial change and might even obsess over it!
Rolex has always believed the Day-Date 40 is the epitome of prestige. And the brand’s new take on the model has only left the collectors’ wondering is it gaudy or truly classy? Well, decide for yourself. The new Rolex Day-Date 40 is in platinum with a blue dial and fluted bezel. Isn’t everything dreamy?
The watch represents true innovation and shows the brand’s ultimate focus on precision. The platinum version is the most distinguishable, and the ice-blue dial certainly comes across as a game-changer.
The new Rolex Day-Date 40 in platinum is the highlight of this season and has all eyes hooked on it. It seems the wait is finally over with this one.
Rolex has played with the colours too! The new Rolex Yacht-Master breaks all barriers and brings a gleaming rainbow to the bezel. Honestly, it looks like a cosmic wonder! The series of silver, blue, and pink sapphires finely set on the bezel is a view to behold and makes the Yacht-Master the best fit for the Yacht.
Not just that. Hold your breath as Rolex is gearing up for another new Yacht-Master in yellow gold. Keeping fingers crossed!
Blooming flowers, vibrant colours, diamonds, and everything stylish, Rolex dedicates the new Datejusts to women. The luxury watch manufacturer extends its trail of patterned dials with 2022’s new watch with blooming flowers on the dial and diamonds on the pistils. The navy-blue coloured dial looks exotic, and the standard fluted bezel subtly enhances the overall outlook.
Rolex goes over the top with the other two silver and olive-green models with 46 brilliant-cut diamonds set on the bezel to stretch it more. A dazzling affair, isn’t it?
What do you think of Rolex’s hyped new 2022 releases? Is it worth the wait or something that you always guessed coming? It seems Rolex has tried to make the extremities meet at some point. The new floral design on the Datejust or the bold move on GMT-Master II with the black & green bezel, or the platinum Day-Date 40.
Everything seems to be extreme but beautiful. However, one thing that you cannot deny is that the brand certainly knows how to keep the watch world on its toes. We survived almost half of the year predicting this lot, and here we are!
However, rest assured that the new 2022 releases will enjoy great attention in the watch forum. After all, any slight abnormality or alterations drives the watch fanatics crazy! And given the current wave of Rolex madness, it is advisable to invest in one to draw a hefty amount when you sell Rolex to reliable watch buyers in London.
So go ahead and try your luck picking up one as per your taste.
