In 1874, Louis-Francois Cartier founded the company ‘Cartier’ in Paris, France, during the disruptive time of the French revolution. The fact is that Richemont SA, the parent company of Cartier, took possession of the production facilities of Roger Dubuis Manufacture in Geneva that specialised in producing movements with Geneva Seal.
